Belize Barrier Reef, the second largest coral island chain after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, located in Belize, the British colonial state. It is Belize’s top tourist destination popular for scuba diving and snorkeling. Which is continuous from Cancún on the northeast tip of the Yucatán Peninsula through the Riviera Maya up to Honduras making it the second largest coral reef system in the world after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

It is one of the largest coral reefs of the Caribbean Sea and the planet. There is a fascinating formation called The Eye, which is not only a coral atoll. Has a great diversity of species, including reef sharks and lemon sharks and soft coral species as the sea fan, hard as brain coral. Among the colors of corals may be white, green, pink, red, purple and even black.

There are also lots of fish of various colors and can be confused with the coral reef, so it is said to be home to a rich marine life. It measures about 350 kilometers long and about 25 km from the coast. Form a sparkling white from Ambergris Caye in northern Belize to Key Ranguana south. The Great Barrier Reef and along the coast the sea is very quiet because the barrier stops the strong waves.
